XAIO Books
Where the dollar lands.
Every invoice, bill and bank line ends up coded to an account, with GST decided correctly, so the BAS is a review of the ledger, not a rebuild of it.

Bulk coding
Coded by what matters most.
A real 4,193-line feed, ordered by materiality rather than by date: the top 20 merchant groups are 75% of the value still uncoded. Decide the biggest merchant once and every line inside it is decided with it.
The next 12 decisions cover $348,665.

How a line gets coded
Five tiers, in order, AI last.
Every uncoded line is offered an answer from the first source that has one. AI only ever sees what the first four tiers couldn’t settle, and only ever bills per line it actually answers.

Bank rules
A rule you wrote once, applied to every future line that matches it. Free, and yours.
- 2
Your own coding history
The account you picked for this merchant last time, offered the next time it appears.
- 3
Patterns shared across businesses
What businesses like yours coded this merchant to, shared k-anonymously: no business ever sees another’s data.
- 4
The built-in AU merchant catalogue
Thousands of Australian merchants pre-mapped to an account and a GST treatment, accountant-reviewed.
- 5
AI, last and metered
Only reached when the first four have nothing to offer. Billed per line, and switched off any time in Settings → AI.
Deposits in advance
A customer who pays before you’ve invoiced them doesn’t create GST out of nothing. XAIO parks that payment on the Balance Sheet at $0 GST, and only recognises the GST once it’s applied to a real invoice. The Balance Sheet’s own GST row decomposes its own difference from the BAS, so a mismatch is a five-second read, not a quarter-long hunt.

FAQ
XAIO Books, answered.
Which banks work with XAIO bank feeds?
XAIO uses open banking (the Consumer Data Right) for bank feeds, which covers Australia’s banks through an accredited data provider. You authorise the connection with your bank directly. XAIO never sees your banking password.
Can XAIO lodge my BAS?
XAIO prepares your BAS from the ledger with validation checks, so lodgement day is a review, not a scramble. As with everything in XAIO, a person reviews and approves, software prepares, you decide.
Can I import my existing books?
Yes, contacts, chart of accounts and balances import from CSV exports of Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks, so you can switch mid financial year without losing history.
Code the biggest dollars first. Let the rest follow.
